Check your ESTA application using the form below to find out if it is still valid, expired or denied for travel to the United States. Once granted, an ESTA is valid for two years or the date of your passport expiry, whichever date is sooner. If you have been issued a new passport, you will need to apply for a new ESTA. Applications must be made online. A successful ESTA application is usually approved within minutes of submission.

Travelers are advised to apply at least 72 hours prior to their departure for the United States. If you have just applied for an ESTA and your status is showing as "No Application Found", please allow up to 4 hours for the application to process. Please also review the information you have provided on the form for accuracy and try again. If you have not received a decision on your ESTA application within one week of applying, please contact our support team for assistance. The primary ESTA status responses are as follows:

• Authorization Approved: This means the traveler has been granted permission to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program. However, this does not guarantee entry into the U.S.; the final determination of admissibility is made by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers upon arrival.
• Authorization Pending: This status indicates that an immediate decision has not been made about the traveler's eligibility. Typically, a definitive response (either "Authorization Approved" or "Travel Not Authorized") is provided within 72 hours.
• Travel Not Authorized: This means the traveler is not authorized to travel to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program. If a traveler receives this status, they will need to apply for a visa through a U.S. Embassy or Consulate if they still wish to travel to the U.S.
• Expired: If someone previously received "Authorization Approved" but it's been more than two years since the approval (or if their passport has expired), their ESTA status will show as "Expired." Travelers in this category will need to reapply for ESTA authorization before traveling to the U.S. under the VWP.
• No Application Found: This status indicates that there is no active or completed ESTA application associated with the provided details in the system. If a traveler believes this is an error, they should verify the information they entered and consider reapplying if necessary.
